Swan's Rest RV Park

Has anyone had any experience with Swan%26#39;s Rest RV Park?

Is is about 30 miles from Haines on Mosquito Lake. It is small - 10 sites - with hookups.

Would appreciate any info. Would be there in June.

Swan's Rest RV Park

Good morning pjg

Have never stayed at Swan%26#39;s Rest but I have been by there on a few occasions this fall (berry picking).......Mosquito Lake is a small lake surrounded by dense forest.....trees too thick to see the mountains.....Swans Rest looks like a well kept RV Park at the end of the road and true to their name we saw about a dozen swans in the water when we were there......we saw a few small boats out there, so apparently there must be fishing available......we have always avoided this area in June because my husband can%26#39;t stand mosquitoes, although I cannot testify that the bugs are thicker there than anywhere else.......this RV Park is in a very undeveloped area, I believe there is a small grocery store near the Post Office on the Mosquito Lake road as you drive in from the highway.......Steve Kroschel%26#39;s animal park is on that road also......he%26#39;s a retired animal trainer who gives educational tours through his property.....also nearby is an old logging road that parallels the upper Chilkat River.....good bank fishing, hiking trails, lots of moose and bear.......there are several rafting tours and a jet boat excursion closeby.......Have you been to Haines ?.......There are several RV parks here with hookups and 2 State Parks (no hookups)........but in my opinion the best place to park an RV is a highway pullout with an ocean view !!......Hope this info helps.......let me know if you have anymore questions.....
