Did NCL cruise this June and balcany WELL worth difference. Saw inside rooms and if a cave is for you then you%26#39;ll be fine, otherwise spend difference for the fresh air, view and openness.

You may wish to do a one way cruise. I recommend Vancouver to Seward. Spend an additional day in Seward, then go north to Anchorage. If you have more time, spend a couple of days in Denali.

A round trip cruise does not give you an opportuinity to see any of the other 95% of Alaska.

I%26#39;ve never had a balcony room, so can%26#39;t comment on the feasibility. If you intend to spend a lot of time in your cabin, and don%26#39;t like the crowds that are often on these ships, then go for it. My issue is that Alaska is pretty chilly and rainy, depending on when you travel. It%26#39;s not like Hawaii or the Caribbean where you can enjoy the warmth and the blue waters. But each his own. I was perfectly happy with a window.

Why don%26#39;t you go to the www.cruisecritic.com website and get more info on cruises. Good luck.

We had a balcony room on our just-finished southbound cruise, and we only really used it once, when we were at Hubbard Glacier. An ocean-view room would have been just as nice, I think, but if you%26#39;re looking at Celebrity, the back-of-ship ones have HUGE balconies, and that might have made a diff.
