Lenny, Where are you arriving!?!? This a big state! Our fall colors are just starting, here in Skagway! Get more specific!?! DD

It is a gorgeous fall day in the interior . . . blue sky, and the trees and tundra are chaning rapidly . . . . with snow at the higher elevations. I would say that the majority of the trees are colored now . . . . I hope it holds right like it is just now - you will be wowed! :)

Not at peak here near Anchorage. We do have leaves falling, and some of the brush has turned, but trees are still green to yellow. However, we are not going to get the beautiful colors you get because we just don%26#39;t have the variety of trees. Last year, I hiked up Twin Peaks trail in Eklutna SP and it was georgous. At one point on that trail, you are overlooking the Eklutna valley and the lake, then if you hike just a short distance further, you will see many sheep up closer to the peak! Wonderful! Right now, we have that fall feeling in the air where you just want to get around a campfire at night. :) Enjoy and safe journey.

You should be just in time. They are already turning AND dropping. But there will still be some left next week. Have fun.
