We get off cruise ship early am on Saturday and our flight home doesn%26#39;t leave until 9:45pm....someone said Princess cruiselines have a hospitality room downtown anchorage so we can do things for the day???

There%26#39;s a Princess office/hospitality room in the Capt Cook Hotel right downtown. At least that%26#39;s what it appears to be and there%26#39;s always Princess staff in there along with passengers!

You%26#39;ll have time to do several different things and Princess seems to have a good system for getting people around to stuff. If you want to be more independent, there%26#39;s a shuttle bus to the Native Heritage Cultural Center - a museum with demonstrations,etc. that is well worth a visit if you are interested in things of that sort. There are several things downtown including the Museum of Art and History - I%26#39;m not sure what the current theme is for their displays, a show on the northern lights, several decent souvenir shops. I%26#39;d suggest you take a look at the Alaska Wildberry Shop in the 5th Ave. Mall downtown (about 5 blocks from the hotel) for some unique small gifts that are very budget friendly and suitcase friendly! You might check with Princess about the things they offer.

Not sure of how many persons are traveling in your party...or how much you are willing to spend following your cruise; however Princess offers some select shore excursions after disembarking in Whittier (or are you disembarking in Seward). Either port, you will need to purchase transportation into Anchorage anyhow. With the shore excursions, you will have an opportunity to see more in the area than what is limited to downtown Anchorage.

Or you can decide to rent a car for the day. This will be my option, as I also have an early arrival and late flight. My luggage will remain with me in the rental car. Have fun!

Thankz for the suggestions....probably will talk to the T%26gt;A again to find out some Princess details for afterwards...I know our motorcoach transfer from Whittier to Anchorage airport is included already...it is just when we get to the airport. can%26#39;t wait!! thanks again
