Entry into Canada with DUI conviction

I have read you may be denied entry into Canada if you have been convicted of a DUI in the US. I am a US citizen with a passport. I am planning an Alaskan cruise from Anchorage to Vancouver and was wondering if it will be a problem disembarking and flying home from Vancouver. Will I make it through customs? We%26#39;ve asked the travel agency if this is something we need to do worry about when traveling to Canada via cruise ship, but they have no idea. Any help would be appreciated.

I don%26#39;t know if you would be denied entry.....but friends of ours crossed the border two weeks ago and told us they were answering different questions this time.....DUI charges were one of the questions they asked about......Since you will probably not be driving and taking a bus to the airport, it doesn%26#39;t make sense that they would be concerned........Contact the Canadian Customs for a definite answer.......(if they say it%26#39;s ok, get it in writing and keep a copy with you).........of course, not being trapped on a cruise ship doesn%26#39;t sound too bad to me : )
