Bear viewing flights

We are going to be in Alaska in early June, and would like to take a bear viewing flight out of Anchorage. Is Rust%26#39;s the best, or are there other ones that would be better? Is the Redoubt Bay flight a good one, or should be spring for the extra $ and go to Katmai? Do any of them stop on the ground for viewing, or is it all from the air? Thanks for the help!

Bear viewing flights

I suggest not taking a flight that won%26#39;t land for extended viewing. Almost every year and sometimes twice each summer we take bear watching trips with Emerald Air from Homer. We spent about 6 hours on the ground between bears. Nothing compares to being right there sometimes 10-20 feet away from these beautiful animals. I think that taking a bear viewing flight only from the air is a big waist of money. However, this is only my opinion and you need to decide how to spend your money wisely.
