Alaska Cruise Question

Hi:

My wife, one year old son, and mother-in-law are planning to go on a 7 day Alaska cruise in August 07. We are planning to leave from Vancouver. There seem to be several itineraries from Vancouver: either you go round trip and start and end in Vancouver, or you start in Vancouver and end near Anchorage. Any suggestions as to which is better or some of the better lesser expensive lines. All help appreciated.

If you can do a few days of interiior touring once you get to Seward or Whittier, a one-way is the obvious choice. If you just want to cruise, a return saves a good chunk of money. Most of the online brokers now have amazing deals on Princess and Royal Caribbean in particular. The key is to study which itinerary gets you what you want - ports, times, glaciers, etc.
