Barrow Trip

My husband would like to fly from Fairbanks to Barrow for the one day tour. Is this a waste of time %26amp; money?

No, it is not a waste of time or money! Barrow is the farthest north settlement in North America, you get to see the midnight sun (at midnight, not some approximation) if you spend the night. You have the Arctic Ocean to dip in if you wish, or at least to look at and enjoy. You have a different people who have made their livelihood up there for thousands of years and have developed their own culture and way of life, while still quite American; they are a very distinct culture.

I have been there half a dozen or so times over the years and find it is a great place to visit and to enjoy. If I were to make a second choice it would be Kotzebue, but the price difference is probably small %26amp; the Barrow location is more exotic.

Yes, give it very serious consideration; it is the chance of a lifetime!
