Avoid 18hr Bus Ride - Driving - Anchorage to Whithorse

Hi,

We are ending a cruise in Seaward on June 8, 2007 and after touring June 9 - 16 would like to eventually end our excursion in Whitehorse, YK, Canada.

Our difficulty is that a one-way car rental between US %26amp; Canada is not possible - at least from my research and experiences. I have contacted Go Alaska Tours recently to see if they could help.

Anyone have any other ideas? We are trying to avoid the 18 hour bus ride and want the freedom of our own car or Motor home.

For Canadians, there are no options (going that early, Americans may be able to get a one-way from Anchorage to Skagway with Avis, as they may still be moving cars to Skagway for the summer). You have to fly or take the bus (an express van, actually - n ot a good tour option to see anything except through the window at 70 mph).
