This topic has been mentioned before but would it be more comfortable in an SUV on gravel and roads full of potholes?
Another question is what type of footwear would we need if we intend to go for short walks (about a mile or two) in Denali and elsewhere and maybe walk on ice or snow? Would sneakers be suitable?
SUV or Full size car?
HolidayOrganiser, welcome back.
I think you answered your own questions.
%26lt;would it be more comfortable in an SUV on gravel and roads full of potholes?%26gt; I don%26#39;t know what roads you have in mind but if they are full of potholes then yes. However, during our many, many trips in Alaska we never rented SUV and drove on all kind of roads.

No, absolutely no if you want to do some walking on ice, snow and tundra. For your own comfort and safety of your ankles wear waterproof hiking boots
