I am interested in any info about kayaking in Columbia Glacier. What tour company did you use and would you use that company again ? Thanks
kayaking columbia glacier
I have used Pangaea 2x%26#39;s in the same amount of years. Our first trip to Columbia in %26#39;07 we did a day trip. My husband and I were so impressed with them(and of course the sheer beauty of the area)that last year we did a 3 day camping/kayak trip. They are very friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. Our first trip out we did not see much wildlife with the exception of sea lions on the trip there and back and eagles. Last year we had sea lions following us, otters, eagles and 2 whales. The weather was a little dreary, but it never rained and that was fine by us. Columbia has a very large ice pack in front of it, so it is not the kind of glacier you will see calving. However, kayaking among the icebergs is really something--totally an unforgettable experience. I have some pictures on my contribution page. If you were looking to go for a camping trip you can leave me a message and I can get into more detail.
I don%26#39;t think you will be disappointed in your destination and I really enjoyed the time I spent with them and most of all I always felt safe. Good luck, hope this helps.
