We will be in Alaska in July and are planning on taking a Prince William Sound cruise. I am considering also doing a half day Resurrection Bay cruise when we are in Seward. I need some advise! Are the two experiences too similar? I read that if one does a whole day cruise of Kenai Fjords you see more wildlife. This is not an option for us however, since I get sea sick very easily.
So, should we just pick one or do both? If you would say pick one...which one? (We have 2 teenaged boys if this makes any difference)
Prince William Sound Cruise or Resurrection Bay
Without a doubt I would pick Prince William Sound for the glaciers. Resurrection Bay is calm but not nearly as much to see as in PWS.
Your teenage boys might like kayaking when in Seward.

Prince William Sound Cruise or Resurrection Bay
Not near as much to see on the Resurrection Bay tour as they don%26#39;t leave the bay and farther out is where all the wildlife and glaciers are. And it doesn%26#39;t matter much on the seasickness as the waters in the bay can be rough too. So PWS would be better for you.
Sealife Center and Exit Glacier are 2 worthwhile things to do in Seward.

Agree with the others -- Take the PWS cruise for glaciers, skip the 4 hour Resurrection Bay, and let the kids climb Exit Glacier in Seward with these guys: http://www.exitglacierguides.com/
(We used to live near Beaver Falls) Go Steelers!
if you get sea sick, forget the Kenai Fjords. You might just see the same amount of wildlifen PWS as they keep a tight schedule to get to Holgate Glacier and back. My reenage boys found the KF tour boring. We should have stuck with PWS. Hike exit. Good day excursion.
