We are trying to decide on the best ship for a family 7 day cruise to Alaska. We need to leave the last week of August (Aug 28, 29, or 30).
Our choices appear to be Holland America%26#39;s Amersterdam, Sapphire or Star Pincess or Celebrity Infinity. Pricing for all seems comparable.
Our son is 10 and we have cruised before. We care about service and quality of food. Most likely room choice for us will be inside stateroom or double stateroom with view (no balcony) to save $.
Suggestions? Advice?

I%26#39;ve been on several of the ships while they are in port here in Haines......Both Princess and Holland Americas....(have also cruised on Princess before)....but all things considered, I would choose Holland America.....luxurious public areas,wonderful food and excellent staff.....I have noticed a lot more kids on the cruise ships the last couple of years, as well, you should have a great time !!
