2009 Road Lottery Dates

I am planning on being there to drive to Tek rest area on May 19th, holding my breath that it will be possible. Not sure I would return for the road lottery but it might be fun to apply.

I would be surprised if it would be allowed John. They usually close the road to Tek a few days before the shuttles start running. I had heard the 18th as being tossed around as the closure date to Tek. So your date might be really close.

Well I am there on the 18th too so I can give it a shot. Last year it seemed to me that they allowed it until the day before the shuttle buses ran (since I thought it would be a cool thing to do), but I could be mistaken.

I will wait and see - no real biggie.

Just found the link that indicates the road was open last year to mile 30 up until the day before the shuttle buses started running:
