Try Tim Berg%26#39;s fishing adventures. They seem to be really nice people to deal with. Has anyone any experiece with them? We are going in 2009 and are booked with them. Merry

I%26#39;m assuming you%26#39;re looking at kings at that time of the summer? I believe the boats that fish the rivers in that area only do four (plus the guide). Largely because the fishing you will do is a lot of trolling/drifting up and down the river and to have more than four on the boat actively fishing would be a mess with lines.

We used the Sports Den out of Soldotna to book our king salmon fishing trip in late June 2006. We had a good time, even though only one of the four of us caught a fish.

There are some unique rules %26amp; regs regarding king fishing, including limits (at that time it was one per fisherman and once you caught yours your pole had to be put up) and sizes (had to be larger than X inches and yet at a certain point on the larger end, you had to throw back the bigger ones). Your guide will explain it all to you. Also you will need a ';king stamp'; in addition to the fishing license.

Lots to it - - but a good outfit will explain it all to you before you book.

Lucky you, you%26#39;ll be in Alaska during the peak sockeye salmon season on the Russian River at Cooper Landing. Fantastic fishing during those dates. Contact Kenai Cache for guide info.

I personally preferred Salmon Busters with Alex Douthit. He is young and fun. We were also one of the only boats catching fish. It was great and he was born and raised in Alaska. I teased him that he was born with a fish lure spoon in his mouth instead of a silver spoon. He has both a Drift and Motor boat for the rivers.
