Hi Everyone - I need some guidance on room selections for an Alaskan cruise. unfortunately, I need to decide what I want to do by Tuesday... tomorrow!! So, any advise would be greatly appreciated.
I am trying to book a cruise with Princess - Southbound trip in August. My wife and I are debating over whether or not to book an inside cabin or an outside cabin (either oceanview or balcony). The difference between an inside cabin and an outside room is approximately $1,000. There is a part of me that really wants the balcony, but there is a part of me that questions if it is really worth an additional $1,000 - money that can be spend on excursions and other trips. The balcony room is on the port side of the ship... is that good or bad?
Can someone who has been on one of these cruises please offer some guidance as I am really torn on what to do? Thank you so much!!
Urgent Info Needed - Alaska Cruise
There is huge variation in people%26#39;s opinions about this. I%26#39;ve taken 2 Alaska cruises with an inside room - never again. On the first cruise my wife and I called it ';The Cave'; - on the 2nd, my Dad thought it was fine. While I can%26#39;t afford a balcony (and I think it%26#39;s not necessary in Alaska anyway), a seaview is mandatory for us now (we%26#39;ve done an Alaska and a Caribbean with seaviews now).
