You have to book in advance and advise the vendor that you will be using the toursaver coupon. When checking in you need to present the book with the coupon attached. You can view the toursaver deals on line at http://www.toursaver.com The toursaver book can be ordered now and will ship beginning November 15.
toursaver coupon book
Hello Benji,
First go to www. toursaver.com and read all details. I think everything is explained there. When are you planning to visit Alaska? Are you traveling alone? If not, how many of you are traveling together? You need to work out your itinerary before you decide to use any coupons. Don%26#39;t base you itinerary on coupons. Do you want to visit any specific areas? Don%26#39;t skip them because there are no coupons available for lodging or activities.
For accommodations you are required to stay 2nights for a price of one. Check on the website what accommodations are included in a tour saver booklet for that area. Check expiration dates. I suggest you do not include some places only because there is a coupon available. Visit only those places that you want to see. Check reviews on Trip Advisor for these places. Once you decide on your itinerary call specified lodging and tell them you want to make reservation for two nights using coupons. I suggest doing these arrangements soon as they have limited number of rooms available when using coupons. The same goes for flights to Mount Mckinley from Talkeetna. Call (or e-mail) them and say you want to use coupon. Again they may have limited number of seats and if you have a group of more than two people you may have a problem using more than one coupon. My advice would be to split a group and book on separate flights. You do not need to mail coupons but you have to have them once you are checking in.
The same applies for day cruises from Seward. E-mail or call them for reservations once you know your specific date.
You don%26#39;t need to make reservation for activities such as the tram ride in Girdwood or for visiting museums. Just present your coupons attached to the booklet once you are ready to pay your admission. I don%26#39;t know when you are coming but check expiration dates on each coupon. Some of them expire August 31 (all flights), some in September and only a few are valid until December 31st. Once you get the toursaver booklet make certain all coupons remain attached, they have no value if you separate them from the booklet. Because you live in Australia I think the easiest way to communicate your requests by e-mails but you need to have specific dates. Once confirmed print out your confirmations and bring them along.
We never used any coupons because we are not interested in staying at any places or activities that offer booking with coupons or we already included them on our previous trips before coupons even existed. From what I hear and read only bad experiences you can have are if your group is larger than two people or traveling alone (most of coupons are 2 for 1; 2 people for a price of 1 or 2 nights for a price of 1). Then if you wait too long to make arrangements it is possible you won%26#39;t get your requested lodging or activities.
In my opinion the tousaver coupons are great saving tools for the first or second timers to Alaska.
