Seward to Anchorage?

I%26#39;m looking at a cruise that ends in Seward. The cruisline suggests flying out of Anchorage. They say you can make a noon flight after a 7am arrival in Seward.

From mapquest it looks like Anchorage is several hours from Seward. What am I missing?

Not possible to make the noon flight. FYI: most flights leave Anchorage in the evening so you should be able to find another flight later than noon.

If you are driving from Seward to Anchorage then it won%26#39;t take longer than 3 hours that%26#39;s if there are no delays.

I agree with the previous poster, book later flight or better yet, stay for a few days to see the other part of Alaska. You need to arrive in the airport no later than 2 hours before your scheduled departure. So I really don%26#39;t know how a noon flight should be even suggested. Certainly, you can make it if everything goes smoothly but you need to be prepared for delays due to traffic, weather, accident, etc

So how do most people get from Seward to Anchorage for flights?

Any suggestions for stuff to do between Seward and Anchorage for a couple days?

We don%26#39;t do cruises so we always drive a rental car. I am certain your cruise line must provide transportation. There is so much to do in Seward, Girdwood and Anchorage. I suggest you do some research right here under these three destinations and figure out what would appeal to you. I think you got a right idea to stay in Alaska for a few more days after your cruise. After you make some choices post more questions here. Many helpful posters are always ready to give their opinions and suggestions.
