Seward to Anchorage by car

We will be ending a cruise in Seward and want to spend 3-days going from Seward to Anchorage and then fly home. We would love a day ocean fishing and hopefully do some trout fishing between Seward and Anchorage. Me, my wife and 18 y/o son will be traveling. We are looking for a basic type fishing experience, not the big expensive lodge type thing. Any ideas out there? We are up for the do it yourself type fishing trips as well, especially for the trout.

When is your trip? Trout fishing is lake fishing. River fising is Salmon. Check AK Dept of Fish %26amp; Game for info.

Seward to Anchorage by car

When is your cruise? June/July is kings and August/Sept is silvers. Snagging is legal. You can rent poles and a skiff (small boat) from Miller%26#39;s Landing.

Halibut fishing is awesome. It requires going on a charter for your best luck.

Trail Lake and Summit Lake are right on the road. There%26#39;s some cabins for rent and a nice restaurant at Summit Lake.
