I am planning a trip to Alaska next August, 2007. We have reservations with Emerald Bear Service , out of Homer, to Katmai National Park. Has anyone out there taken this bear excursion with this particular tour group? I%26#39;d like some feedback as to how your trip was. Thanks!

JanefromMAINE: Great choice going with Emerald air. My wife %26amp; I took a trip with them july 05.Chris Day %26amp; her husband are fantastic people. They spend a lot of time before your trip educating you on bear behavior.They also talk a lot about the enviorment %26amp; what to expect during your trip. Their groups are small ( 9 people) so they can give their clients individual attention.We took a lot of pictures %26amp; have some great memories! Being so close to such a wild creature is by far the most thrilling experiece we have ever had.We are now planning a second trip for Sept 2007.for more complete info on trips you can go on their web site www emerald air.com. they post a lot of info on their site. have a great time !!!!!

JanefromMAINE, we went bear watching with Emerald Air (not Bear) Service many times and every time had an extraordinary trip. You made a right choice.

m%26amp;minpa%26#39;s description is wonderful so I won%26#39;t add anything more. We need to keep some details from you hence you can be as amazed as we were. Every time! Bring your rain gear, wool hat, wool sweater, windbreaker, fleece, scarf, gloves, t-shirt and dress in layers. We had every possible weather during our trips with Emerald Air to Katmai National Park.
