Can I fly into Anchorage in Dec., rent a car and drive to Sutton.? Wondering about the rds, I am female on my own.
Anchorage
My guess would be yes. All kinds of women up here drive back and forth every day, all year round.
Seeing you are from Texas, I must guess you are not accustomed to slick roads. They may be frozen, but whether they are slick or not is another question. I suggest:
Rent a car with winter tires
Go to an empty parking lot and practice a few spins and skids and regaining control.
Don%26#39;t use cruise control, it can be bad if you hit a small icy spot
Drive smoothly and do not jerk the wheel under any circumstances, Stay in the slow lane and drive with traffic speed until you get a feel for the road
Avoid rush hour traffic in Anchorage, these people don%26#39;t know how to drive in snow either!
Sutton is not that far %26amp; it is a pretty drive as well as pretty straight with no mountians. So don%26#39;t worry %26amp; relax.
